Booking & Planning

We recommend reaching out as early as possible, ideally 6–8 weeks ahead, especially during busier periods such as Ramadan. That said, we're always happy to discuss shorter timeframes — get in touch and we'll let you know what's realistic for your dates.

Absolutely. Family and group travel is one of our specialities — from a few relatives travelling together to a full community group of 20+, we coordinate it as one seamless itinerary with linked bookings and coordinated transfers.

Visas & Documents

Yes — we guide you through the Umrah visa process step by step as part of your booking. We'll tell you exactly which documents are needed, when to submit them, and handle the coordination so you know exactly what's happening at every stage.

Typically you'll need a passport valid for at least 6 months from your travel date, passport-sized photographs, a completed application form, and proof of relationship for family travellers (such as a marriage certificate). Requirements can vary, so we'll provide a personalised checklist when you book.

Standard Umrah visa processing usually takes 5–10 working days once all documents are submitted correctly. During peak seasons it may take slightly longer, which is another reason we recommend booking early.

Yes, every traveller including infants and children requires their own visa. We'll guide you through the specific requirements for minors travelling with parents or guardians.

Travel & Stay

We offer a range of hotels near the Haramain in Makkah and Madinah, from comfortable 3-star options to premium 5-star properties. We'll help you choose based on your budget, proximity preferences and group size. All our recommended hotels are personally vetted.

Transfers can be included as part of your package. We arrange private air-conditioned vehicles for individuals and families, or larger coaches for groups — covering airport pickups, hotel drops, and inter-city transfers between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah.

Most of our Umrah travellers fly into Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), which is the closest major airport to Makkah. Some packages may also use Madinah's Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport (MED), depending on your itinerary. We'll recommend the best option for your trip.

Yes, many of our travellers choose to add a few days in Madinah or a stopover in Istanbul, Dubai or another city. Just let us know what you're thinking during the planning stage and we'll build it into your itinerary.

We're experienced in arranging travel for elderly pilgrims and those with mobility needs. Let us know about any requirements — wheelchair assistance at airports, ground-floor hotel rooms, or slower-paced itineraries — and we'll make the necessary arrangements.

Payment & Protection

Yes. MHM Travels Ltd holds ATOL protection, which means your money is financially protected under the ATOL scheme. When you book a package that includes a flight, you'll receive an ATOL certificate for complete peace of mind.

We accept bank transfers and online payments. We'll provide clear payment instructions and a receipt for every transaction. Payment plans can also be discussed — speak to us about what works for you.

A deposit is typically required to secure your booking, with the balance due closer to your travel date. The exact schedule depends on your package and how far in advance you're booking — we'll make everything clear before you commit.

Cancellation terms vary depending on the airlines, hotels and suppliers in your package. We'll explain the specific terms that apply to your booking before you confirm. As a general rule, the earlier you cancel, the more flexibility there is — but we always work to find the best outcome for you.

No. We believe in complete transparency. The price we quote includes everything we've discussed — flights, accommodation, transfers and visa guidance. If anything changes at your request, we'll tell you about any cost implications before proceeding.
